The new DSE type applies a new flute design that forms compact chips and features a point shape that is easy to engage a work piece.Furthermore, it controls runout against work while through-hole drilling of thin-walled work by applying lower thrust force than existing one. As a result, it prevents fracturing in through-hole drilling and achieves stability and longer tool life. 
Substrate applies reliable ultra-fine grain Cemented carbides with high fracturing resistance. [Improved Flash-Coat] ((Ti, Al) N base PVD coating) was applied, which has a smooth surface and excels in wear resistance at high temperature. Smooth surface also allows easy chip flow; therefore, it prevents chip clogging even at high-speed cutting. Consequently, it allows about 2 times faster cutting speed, Vc=100m/min, in both wet and dry cutting of carbon and alloy steel.
